The remaining survivors who passed final selection were only 5 people including me. Two girls who looked the exact same except for their hair one having black and one having white hair, both came and congratulated us of passing and told us our ranks.
 
"Give us our swords, and stop talking about random bull crap," one survivor with a scar across his nose and a scary looking expression yelled at one of the twins.
 
"Hey, calm down," I said as the guy turned to look at me, he stormed towards me before pulling me by my collar.
 
"I won't calm down! I just spent 7 days in a demon infested forest and I get told that I have to wait two weeks for my sword!" He yelled as his grip tighten on my shirt.
 
"Let go of her, now," a boy with red hair said. 
 
"Tsk, or what....this little bitch needs to shut up," he spat. The boy with the red hair then grabbed onto his arm and broke it. The boy let go of my hair and hissed in pain as he held his broken arm.
 
"Urghh what the hell!" he screamed at the boy who helped me.
 
"Thank you," I thanked the boy that helped me. 
 
"No problem....I'm Tanjiro Kamado," he said smiling.

"Tanjiro.....My name is (y/n)," I said blushing slightly.

I walked down the hallways of the butterfly estate about to give Shinobu paper files that she needed, I turn the corner when my face collided with a hard chest. I fell back from the impact and all the paper documents fell to the ground.
 
"I'm so sorry...I wasn't looking where I was going, I'm so sorry please forgive me," I apologised looking up at the person I bumped into before my eyes widened. "It's you...you're from final selection." 
 
"Shut up. Watch where your going next time, idiot," he snarled before helping me pick up the papers.
 
We both stood up as I fixed the papers in my hands,I felt myself blush when I realised how different he looked. He looked so grown and taller than the last time I saw him....he was even hotter.
 
"You've grown so much," I said awkwardly.
 
"Did I not just tell you to shut up?" He said before slamming the papers into my hands before storming off......What was his problem?
 
"It was nice seeing you," I said smiling to myself.
 
"Yeah..yeah..whatever," he said before turning a corner.
 
I smiled before carefully....walking to Shinobu to give her the files that were now mixed up.

Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and I were all eating, the boy from earlier sat by himself scolding at the four of us...especially me.
 
"Genya, come sit with us," Tanjiro said smiling....so his name was.....Genya....
 
Genya scoffed before moving to with us, Tanjiro smiled talking to him even though Genya didn't look happy. I awkwardly sat there as Zenitsu and Inosuke argued while Tanjiro tried to split them up. Genya would occasionally look at me but when I caught him he would look the other way.
 
"Do you like Unagi, Genya?" Tanjiro randomly asked.
 
"Yeah, it's not bad," he said finishing his last piece.
 
"Here, I not really a fan of it....have mine, Genya," I said as he looked at me surprised as a blush crept on his cheeks. Luckily the others didn't notice because of how loud Zenitsu and Inosuke were yelling at each other, while Tanjiro again tried to calm them down.
 
"Thanks," he said nervously taking my last piece of Unagi and eating it. I looked away hiding the blush on my face.....why was he making me feel this way...he was always rude to me, but yet I was always nice to him.
 
I decided to go outside to clear my head, when I saw Genya sitting on a bench looking up at the moon. I stood for a minute before walking towards him and sitting next to him.
 
"Hi, Genya," I said, he glanced at me before looking back at the moon not responding to me. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" I said looking at the moon.
 
"....."
 
I sighed quietly before standing up to leave Genya alone, he seemed like he just wanted to be left alone.
 
"Why are you so nice to me?.......I was such a dick towards you at final selection....I still...am," he asked looking at me with a calm expression.
 
I smiled before walking away, Genya stood up and grabbed my hand pulling me towards him.
 
"I asked you a question," he said....I sighed at his hypocrisy.
 
"Just forget it Genya, Goodnight," I said bluntly trying to leave.
 
"No....tell me why you're so nice to me," he demanded still firmly holding onto my hand pulling me even closer, to the point we were inches away from each other. 
 
"Because I like you Genya, that's why I'm so nice to you.....and I don't know why you're always so rude to me for no reason," I said angrily looking up at him.
 
"I'm in love with you (y/n), ever since final selection......and I don't know how to express my feelings for you," he sighed looking at me with pleading eyes.
 
"W-what?" I said wide eyed, he sighed mumbling to himself before pulling my face towards his, kissing me gently, he pulled away resting his forehead on mine.
 
"I said I'm in love with you, (y/n)."
