No Bake Caramilk Slice Recipe (1)

I love a good no bake slice recipe (and you can find more of my favourites here) and I’ve based this easy slice on my Caramello Slice recipe, I’ve simply just switched out the Caramello chocolate for Caramilk and then used Caramilk chocolate for the topping – too easy!

Why you will love this recipe:

  • No Bake – you won’t need your oven to make this Caramilk Slice!
  • Quick to Prepare – it takes less than 20 minutes to put this slice together.
  • Versatile – you can top your slice with milk or dark chocolate if you wish or you can sprinkle some shaved milk chocolate over the top as I have done in the slice pictured.

Caramilk Slice Ingredients:

Please note you will find the full list of instructions and ingredients in the recipe card below.

  • Marie Biscuits – you can use any type of plain sweet biscuits for this recipe. I also use Milk Coffee or Arrowroot Biscuits.
  • Caramilk Chocolate – this is essential!
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – you will want to use regular Sweetened Condensed Milk rather than a reduced fat version as it will help the slice to hold together.
  • Butter – either salted or unsalted butter can be used.
  • Desiccated Coconut – I suggest NOT using shaved or flaked coconut as it will change the consistency of the slice.

How to Make this Recipe:

  1. Crush the biscuits.
  2. Combine one block of Caramilk chocolate and butter and melt.
  3. In a large bowl, add the crushed biscuits and remaining ingredients. Mix well to combine.
  4. Transfer to a slice tray and press down to smooth the surface.
  5. Top the slice with melted Caramilk Chocolate.
  6. Place into the fridge to set.
  7. Once completely set, cut into pieces and enjoy!

Tips for Making My No Bake Caramilk Slice:

  • You will need 2 x 180gram blocks of Caramilk chocolate for this recipe.
  • If you want to make the topping thicker, you can use an extra block of Caramilk chocolate and melt.
  • The addition of coconut oil is to help make the chocolate layer easier to slice through, if you wish you can leave it out.
  • I used Arnott’s Marie Biscuits, you can use other brands or a similar style of plain biscuit.
  • If making this recipe in your Thermomix, you will need to push the biscuits down towards the blades with your spatula to help blitz them.
  • This slice is best stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Equipment

  • 28 x 18cm slice tin

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Marie biscuits or similar
  • 200 grams sweetened condensed milk this is ½ of a 390gram tin.
  • 360 grams Caramik Chocolate 2 blocks
  • 125 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 Cadbury Flake bar optional

Instructions

  • Line a 28cm x 18cm slice tray with baking paper making sure you leave paper hanging over the sides to help remove the slice from the tin once set.

  • Crush the biscuits into small pieces – you can use a food processor, or just bash them with the end of a rolling pin!

  • Break one block of the Caramilk Chocolate into squares and place it into a microwave bowl along with the butter (which has been cubed) and cook until melted – I cook for 30 second spurts and mix together in between.

  • In a large bowl add the melted butter & chocolate, condensed milk and crushed biscuits. Mix together to combine and then pour into the prepared tray.

  • Using a metal spoon, spread slice evenly over the tray and push down to smooth.

  • Break the remaining block of Caramilk chocolate into pieces and place it into a microwave safe bowl along with the coconut oil and cook for 30 second spurts until it has melted.

  • Pour the melted milk chocolate over the top of the Caramilk Slice and sprinkle the pieces of the flake (optional) and place in the fridge for 2 hours or until set.

  • Remove the set slice from the baking tray and cut into small pieces (or large – no judgement here!) and enjoy.

Thermomix Instructions

  • If there are still large chunks of biscuits, blitz for a further 10 seconds, speed 7.

  • Using a metal spoon, spread slice evenly over the tray and push down to smooth.

  • Break the remaining block of Caramilk chocolate into pieces and place it into a microwave safe bowl along with the coconut oil and cook for 30 second spurts until it has melted.
